Weekend in Saputara:

A Tryst with The Best of Trails in 2021

In today’s busy lifestyle, all we want is to escape for a while where we can breathe and do whatever we want to. Busy weekdays, responsibilities, and work commitments, often make us dry and compel us to pack bags. Last weekend, we did the same and decided to camp in Saputara with my friend. My friend is from Nadiad and decided to spend an entire weekend on nature’s lap in Saputara.

Initially, we were a group of a total of 8-9 people but in the end just like Goa memes, my friend and I decided to visit the place. All the other fellow members could not join us due to their personal reasons. We were searching on Google but one of my common friends shared a post from Soundaryasafer and their camping activities in Saputara.

We saved the post but we inquired at 2-3 places about the same but did not get a satisfactory answer as they all were doing camping activities for almost three days but Soundraysafar’s camping activities last for 2 days and that was advantageous for people like us. Moreover, they cover all the things in these couple of days as Mr. Raj (trek leader) has vast experience in trekking and camping activities.

Then, we inquired about the Soundaryasafar and asked them to share all the required details. We had a small doubt regarding the office location and what if the online website or post contained any fraudulent activities. But we talked with the trek leader and finally made a booking.

Usually, the camp starts from Ahmedabad but we belong from the Nadiad so we were told to pick up from the Nadiad. We reached the station at the given time, we called them and within 10-15 minutes they were there. We thought it was a scam and we were about to lose our money but finally, they came and we adjusted ourselves on the bus.

We directly slept, and in the morning when we woke up, the view was speechless. I mean it can't be described in words. We were covered by green forests, small rivers, and mountains. We reached the campsite on an average around 7.30 am. The view was mesmerizing. It was a real thrill and an amazing experience.

After reaching the campsite with luggage, our camp manager and trek leader (Mr.Raj) told us to stand in a queue, which is known as folline. He explained and taught us how to stay in discipline, gave necessary instructions, made groups, and explained all the small things in detail.

It seemed like oh, shit! when we reached and thought about how we will spend the rest of the two days with this boring and angry guy. But as the time passed, he started behaving friendly, polite, and too supportive toward us. We did tent pitching then had breakfast and then ziplined.

Zipline was seriously too exciting. Think how it would be good to walk in between mountains and above the river? Amazing right? Indeed, it was. Then, after taking lunch, we explored Saputara. Visited Table point but it was a foggy atmosphere due to the rainy weather. We stopped the bus near the table point and walked some steps.

After climbing, our trek leader led us to Table point. Climbing was challenging and sleepy but as I mentioned earlier our leader was too supportive. We roamed around Table Point, clicked pictures, did horse riding, and much more. Then we left for Lake Garder. Again we clicked pictures and then reached the campsite again.

We had a delicious dinner and then had a campfire. And yes, one more thing here I would like to mention, for a campfire, we went to the forest and collected wood. It was also a memorable experience. Then we did a campfire, how we can miss Garba, after all, Gujaratis. We also played some games.

Then early in the morning, after having breakfast, we went trekking. The entire trek was in Cascade, it was in the water but one of the best experiences in my life. We also did rappelling over there. It was risky because the water was a little bit slippery too but Mr. Raj gave us some handy introductions regarding how to do activities and what things to consider while trekking.

I was really thankful to him. Then we completed the trek and visited Rose Garden. Then we again reached the campsite, took lunch, and finally departed to reach Ahmedabad. In between routes, we also visited Gira waterfall and clicked some pics. It was everywhere green and lush due to the monsoon and there was a waterfall in between the forests.

Then we departed for Ahmedabad but that does not mean the trip is over here. We had lots of fun on the bus, did dance and played games. The team also asked us to share reviews about the trip, which means what they like the most and what not. How was the overall experience and all those things?

Moreover, based on the shared reviews and feedback, they work on that and come up with the proper planning and scheduling. In addition to that, they have a huge experience in the same domain so they know better about everything, from services to travel to camp and much more.

Trust me, I never had this much lip-smacking food camping but Soundaryasafer themselves arrange everything, decide the menu, and offer the best services. I will surely recommend this company to other people and will always prefer to do camping and trekking activities with this team.
